Resident Evil Village Update 1.210 Rolled Out for PS5 Pro Support
As expected, Capcom has rolled out Resident Evil Village update 1.210 on PS5, and this is to add PS5 Pro enhancements to the game similar to Resident Evil 4. Don’t expect any other new content or anything major outside of the graphical enhancement.
What’s New in Resident Evil Village Update 1.210
Capcom hasn’t acknowledged the patch just yet, which has been the case for Resident Evil 4 as well. Of course with Sony confirming in its list of PS5 Pro supported games available at the console’s launch that RE Village is part of it, we’ve been expecting this patch to be released. There are more patches on the way for the games in that list that should be released as we lead up to the PS5 Pro’s launch tomorrow.
Unlike Resident Evil 4, RE Village does not have various performance modes, and instead only has a ray tracing toggle. Expect no special mode to be available for Village similar to RE4, and instead, have the game take advantage of the PS5 Pro’s PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), which is explained by Sony as:
AI-Driven Upscaling: We’re also introducing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, an AI-driven upscaling that uses a machine learning-based technology to provide super sharp image clarity by adding an extraordinary amount of detail.
If we get any official announcement or changelog from Capcom, we’ll update the article to reflect it.
