Gears of War: Reloaded New Update 1.007.001 on Sept. 17 Fixes Squad Achievement Progression and Other Bugs
The Coalition has released a new Gears of War: Reloaded patch today, September 17, and this addresses a slew of bugs. Console gamers will see this download as Gears of War: Reloaded update version 1.007.001, and while this isn’t a major update, it still packs a good number of much-needed fixes.
Chief among the fixes issued are squad achievement progression issues, matchmaking and stability improvements, and other technical issues.

Gears of War: Reloaded’s Latest Update Fixes Multiple Issues via Patch 1.007.001
The Coalition says the following has been fixed:
- Addresses squad achievement progression
- Matchmaking and stability improvements
- Additional frame rate option for PC
- Squadmates who aren’t hosting will now earn progress towards achievements in Campaign
- Matchmaking optimizations for more balanced lobbies based off of skill rating (MMR)
- Several issues that were causing game crashes have now been resolved
- Added an Unlimited option to Frame Rate Limit in display settings
The developers also shared that they are “always monitoring feedback across the game and other support channels,” and added, “Our intent when communicating to our players is to ensure we’re providing real, meaningful updates and information on what actions we’ve taken. Thank you for your patience.”
No word yet on whether we’ll get balance changes or another patch soon, but don’t be surprised to see one — especially given the state the multiplayer is in.
