In case you missed it, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, a new Sonic Racing game, was announced during yesterday’s PlayStation State of Play event. While the game has no release date, SEGA is already planning a playable technical test for this month.

But that’s not all. New information has confirmed a list of characters, with the game being pegged as having the largest roster in the Sonic Racing series.

Gotta Go Fast If You Want to Keep Up With These Racers

As spotted by Sonic Stadium, below is a list of confirmed characters, which apparently appeared on the Sonic Racing CrossWolrds website before being taken down.

  • Sonic
  • Knuckles
  • Tails
  • Amy
  • Eggman
  • Jet
  • Wave
  • Storm
  • Shadow
  • Rouge
  • E-123 Omega
  • Vector
  • Charmy
  • Espio
  • Blaze
  • Silver
  • Cream
  • Zavok
  • Zazz
  • Big
  • Metal Sonic
  • Egg Pawn

Based on this list and the information provided by Sonic Stadium, this would be the largest starting roster for a Sonic Racing game thus far, with plans for more to be added post-launch. They won’t just be Sonic characters either, as SEGA notes that other IP characters that they own will also appear in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds.

As for who, well, that’s anyone’s guess, as SEGA list of characters is a pretty lengthy one. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing characters from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series making an appearance, though that’s me, since I’m a big fan of the franchise.

What character, be it from Sonic, SEGA, heck, even from another publisher, would you like to see in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds?
