Online retailer Play-Asia has a page up for Resident Evil 9: Revenant Shadows, alongside pages for the rumored Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero remakes. The preliminiary cover art shows what appears two characters (with the character up front looking a lot like Leon Kennedy) alongside the Resident Evil IX title.

The fact that there is an item description and subtitle for Resident Evil 9 is what makes us think that there is a chance this could be legit. The latest from credible leaker DuskGolem mentions that Code Veronica and RE: Zero remakes are being developed, with Resident Evil 9 set for release in 2025/2026.
Could Resident Evil 9 be one of the surprise announcements at Sony’s State of Play later? As a Resident Evil fan, I am hoping it is, though I’m doubtful.
We’ve reached out to Capcom to ask for clarification on this and will update the article if we hear anything back.
