PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds players, there’s a new game update out now for the PC version’s test servers, and it contains a few fixes that fans have been asking for, and a new anti-cheat measure has been implemented!

PUBG update #5 might just be in the testing for now, but it’ll be out today, February 7, at 6 p.m. PST/February 8 3 a.m. CET, with a maintenance period expected to last for three hours. Check out the PUBG update notes below.

Anti-Cheat
  • New anti-cheat measure has been added
Red Zone Sound
  • Fixed the issue where the sound of explosions would become too loud when played simultaneously
  • Balanced the number of simultaneous explosion sounds, in order to optimize game performance
  • Fixed the issue where the explosion sound wouldn’t play following the falling sound of a bomb

Xbox One players, check the latest PUBG update for that version right here. In other PUBG news, check out the latest in-game stats here where some amusing stats are listed, like 130 million chicken dinners being served and more.

So happy that they’ve tweaked the red zone sound. It was deafening me!
