Minecraft Down and Experiencing Server Issues This July 30
For blockheads that can’t login and play their favorite mode in Minecraft, it’s not just you. Players are reporting that Minecraft is down, and Mojang has acknowledged the outage. Read on for more details.

According to Mojang, Microsoft’s Azure servers are acting up, and given the game is hosted on Microsoft (since they own it and all), ithat’s affecting connectivity.

According to Microsoft, they are investigating reports of connectivity issues to Microsoft services in Europe. However, based on the Azzure status page, it seems not just Europe is affected:
