Metal Gear Solid 3 Eva’s Voice Actor Finally Revealed After 20 Years
Suzetta Minet, a name many Metal Gear Solid 3 fans will recognize as the credited voice for Eva in the Metal Gear Solid franchise. It was a name that, after fans started doing some deep research to see who they were, realized was actually a fake one. Why? That’s been a mystery that fans have been theorizing and trying to crack for the last 20 years. However, all that finally came to an end when Konami released part three of the Metal Gear Solid Legacy series, revealing that the voice of Eva was none other than the very same voice behind Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
Disney Voice Actor Jodi Benson Was Behind Eva the Entire Time
That’s right. Jodi Benson, who has been credited behind the voice of many Disney characters, with her most notable role being Ariel from The Little Mermaid, was the very same voice behind Eva this entire time. This was revealed in the latest episode of Metal Gear Solid Legacy Series.
So why did she end up using a fake name instead of a real one? Well the reason mostly was due to her ongoing career with Disney. At the time, she played mostly family-friendly characters, and with Metal Gear Solid 3 being rated “M” for Mature. well, you can probably understand how that could have potentially hurt her image. Mind you, this was 20 years ago, where today, it’s pretty common to see voice actors now play a range of characters, whether they’re child friendly or not.
“The various projects that I am affiliated with in my career are sort of family-based, children-based, and things like that” Benson says, ” So, it was actually Kris Zimmerman Salter, that was our director, that she kind of sat down with me, and she’s like, ‘Maybe we need to change your name.’”
There’s been plenty of hints over the years that pointed to her being the voice of Eva, and she herself even teased this a few times, though many sort of missed it. I guess it’s even more clear now that we actually know.
🎈🎉Happy birthday to my favorite Big Boss! Thank you Mickey for the greatest blessing of working for you for the past 30 years! I love you❤️ https://t.co/acu0tA8w4s

We’re glad to see she’s finally able to confirm this, and we fully expect she’ll be properly credited in Metal Gear Solid Delta, the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 whenever it releases.
In other Metal Gear Solid Delta news, Snake’s voice actor, David Hayter, has shared that he has done voice work for stuff he can’t talk about just yet, suggesting there is new dialogue in the remake.
