Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Will Let Players Scale Swing Assist, Dev Reveals Max Assist Was Standard in Past Games
Do you want your swing across New York as challenging as possible in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2? If so, you can do just that, as the game will have a slider for “Swing Assist.”
This was revealed by Insomniac Games Director of Community and Marketing James Stevenson over on Twitter in answering concerns from a now-deleted tweet.
For instance – there are 10 levels of Swing Assistance on that slider. The game starts at the default (from the previous games!) is Level 10. So it’s a feature we let players turn down to get /less/ assistance if they want.

It’s not an accessibility setting. Its the opposite of that.

While most people might just leave it on default to be able to enjoy swinging as efficient as possible, I can see some gamers taking on the challenge and turning it down for a more “realistic” feel.

In other Spider-Man 2 news, Insomniac Games has also confirmed that fall damage can be toggled on/off as well. Couple that with swing assist turned all the way down, and you have one challenging trek across the New York skyline.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings out on PS5 this October 18.

I’ll just leave it at default, because why make things more difficult then necessary. Besides, i got the platinum trophy for the 1st Spiderman and plan on doing so for Spiderman 2 as well. Unless it’s a trophy requirement then i have no intention of adjusting any settings unless it makes the trophies easy not more challenging.
