The Grand Theft Auto 5 train keeps on chugging! Six months ago, Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive announced that GTA 5 sales have hit a staggering 195 million units. Well, that number has climbed exponentially once again, as Take-Two has announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 sales have now hit the 200-million mark!
This announcement was made during the company’s quarterly financials report, where Take-Two touted how GTA+ — GTA Online’s paid subscription service — also grew “strong double digits” over the last year.

Online also surpassed our projections, led by its Summer content pack, Bottom Dollar Bounties, which launched June 25th. The audience for Rockstar’s premium membership service, GTA+, grew strong double digits over last year, with Rockstar Games offering its members an array of valuable benefits that range from enhancing the in-game experience to providing access to their classic titles, including the recent addition of L.A. Noire.
In addition to that announcement, Take-Two also announced Red Dead Redemption 2 sales are now at 65 million, which is four million units more than what it was six months ago.
We are pleased with the performance of Red Dead Redemption 2, which has sold-in more than 65 million units to-date. In addition, Red Dead Online continued to engage its audience during the period with new monthly bonuses and free outfits inspired by top content creators within the Red Dead community.
At this point, who else doesn’t own GTA 5, right? With GTA 6 set to be unleashed next year, chances are, this number will even climb. Congrats for skiing in your mountain of money, Take-Two!
