Fallout 76 Down on December 11 to Usher in a Hotfix
Following the release of the Burning Springs update last week, Bethesda has taken the Fallout 76 servers down this December 11, and this is to usher in an update aimed at resolving issues with the recent patch.
Given what happened during the last maintenance, we hope this downtime won’t last as long.

Fallout 76 Down and Offline on December 11 to Apply a Patch
Update: The patch notes for today’s hotfix is now available.
Per Bethesda, the Fallout 76 servers will be taken down at 10 am ET/7 am PT/11 pm HKT. While there’s no timeframe on how long this outage will last, it usually runs for about 3-4 hours.
However, the last downtime took close to half a day, so we can’t say for sure how long this one will take. That said, if there are any changes to the downtime or if it gets extended past four hours, we’ll provide an update within the article.
The studio currently has no timeframe on how long the downtime will last, so make sure to refresh this article from time to time.
For those annoyed at the extra-long downtime in the last maintenance, Bethesda has dished out a gift and extra challenge days to compensate players.

The previous major update took much longer than half a day. The servers were failing to let most users connect for much longer than that. As this update is only to apply some additional fixes we can hope it should result in a much shorter downtime.
