Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Officially Announced, Cover Surfaces as Official Reveal Is Set for June 9
As expected given the newspaper ads, this year’s Cal of Duty title is none other than Black Ops 6! Activision has officially announced the game, and confirmed that the official reveal is set for June 9 following the Xbox Games Showcase!
Also confirmed today is that Treyarch is once again back in the driver’s seat as the main studio behind the game, with Raven Software assisting development, and we’re assuming will continue developing Call of Duty: Warzone in parallel with this year’s franchise entry.
The “wake up” teaser has also been released, which features Mount Rushmore but slightly…different.
Alongside the announcement, the official key art/cover and a banner has also surfaced and it should be familiar to franchise fans.

Expect more info to be revealed on June 9, which is when the Call of Duty Direct is airing after the Xbox Games Showcase.
If the past years are anything to go by, expect a leak or two to make its way before the big reveal. We’re expecting hints or even Easter eggs to be part of the patch rollout of Season 4 of Modern Warfare 3 Warzone next week.
What are you hoping to see from Black Ops 6? Whatever Treyarch’s plans are, the studio will have to do it without studio leader David Vonderhaar who left the company to establish a new studio named BulletFarm with NetEase.
